Røros is one of the coldest places in Norway. When I was there in February 2026 the temperature dropped to a freezing −30 °C, which made taking pictures challenging as the cold quickly numbed my fingers. Battery-heated gloves with thick mittens on top made it possible. The time between sunrise and sunset was short, which provided ideal opportunities to shoot in beautiful light. The old wooden houses and the majestic church create a unique environment and framing.
