With Biofoto on Tyinholmen

From Thursday to Sunday, more than 70 nature photographers gathered at Tyinholmen to photograph vast and intimate landscapes, birds and more. That many people is usually more than I feel comfortable around, but I enjoyed the stay and the photographic opportunities. I also took the chance to venture out on my own and explore at my own pace — perhaps an outsider to some of my colleagues, and I’m fine with that. The first pictures are of some beautiful flowers: not usually my area of interest, but inspired by my fellow photographers I gave it a try.

I became somewhat obsessed with getting a good photograph of Falketind, a beautiful mountain rising 2,067 metres high. Low clouds hid it at times, but they cleared and revealed the summit.

Uranostinden, at 2,157 metres, with the Uranos glacier is another spectacular mountain in the area. Even with the low‑hanging clouds, the peak breaks through to reveal itself, at least in part.
