A new lense

I finally got the 100–500 mm zoom I’ve wanted for a while. There aren’t many landscapes here that require that kind of reach, so I tested it on some birds and flowers. I enjoyed the experience and look forward to trying it out in the mountains in August. I’m pleased with the results so far, but there’s still much to explore. I don’t think bird photography will be high on my agenda even with this lens.

I saw this Golden eagle high in the sky and suddenly it spotted a fish and started diving. It was a long way away, so even with this lens I had to crop the pictures. The photos aren’t as sharp as I’d like and there was a lot of noise. For me it was an exciting moment to be able to follow the Golden eagle and capture these images.
